FAQs

Everything people ask before they book.

If your question isn't here, message me — I'd rather answer it than have you guess.

Booking a mobile massage

Do I need to provide anything?

No. I bring the massage table, towels, linen, oils and music. You need a clear floor space of about 2 × 2.5 metres and somewhere I can wash my hands.

How much space do you need?

A living room or bedroom is usually plenty. The table is about 1.9 m long and I need to move around it.

How long do you need to set up?

About five minutes to set up and five to pack down. Your booked time is treatment time — set-up is on me.

Can I book for someone else, or for two people?

Yes to both. Book back-to-back sessions for two people; I bring one table and treat one person at a time.

What areas do you cover?

Melbourne's inner north and east — Brunswick, Coburg, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Northcote, Thornbury, Preston, Carlton, Richmond and Abbotsford, and surrounding suburbs. If you're further out, ask.

What if I need to cancel?

Reschedule or cancel through the link in your booking confirmation. Please give at least 24 hours' notice where you can.

Treatment

What's the difference between remedial and relaxation massage?

Remedial massage starts with an assessment and treats a specific problem — pain, injury, restriction — with targeted techniques. Relaxation massage is slower, full-body work whose goal is to settle your nervous system. Remedial is claimable on most health funds; relaxation generally isn't.

How often should I get a remedial massage?

For an active problem, weekly or fortnightly for three to four sessions, then spacing out. For maintenance, every four to six weeks is typical. I'll give you an honest recommendation after the first session.

Will it hurt?

Deep work can be intense but should never make you brace or hold your breath. I work to the edge of useful pressure and adjust to your feedback.

I'm hypermobile. Is massage safe for me?

Yes, with the right approach — and I'm hypermobile myself. For hypermobile bodies I focus on releasing overworked muscles and building stability, rather than pushing for more range.

Can I be treated if I'm pregnant?

Please mention it when you book so I can confirm what's appropriate for your stage and set the table up accordingly.

Payment and rebates

Can I claim on my private health fund?

Remedial and sports massage are claimable on most Australian extras cover. I give you a receipt on the day and you claim through your fund's app or website. Relaxation massage and Pilates are generally not claimable.

Is travel included in the price?

Travel is included within my core service area. A small fee may apply further out — you'll see it before you confirm.

How do I pay?

Online when you book, through the secure booking page.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes — any service or dollar amount. See the gift vouchers page.
